The surroundings of the Asturian pre-Romanesque monuments
The surroundings of the Asturian pre-Romanesque monuments
The exhibition shows the changing urban and natural landscape surrounding the Asturian pre-Romanesque Monuments in an exercise of territorial analysis that is both highly instructive and useful for the future planning of the protected areas around these heritage gems.
The Asturian pre-Romanesque Monuments environment includes panels with texts, photographs and site plans of Santa María de Naranco, San Miguel de Lliño, Santa Cristina de Lena, Santuyano, the Holy Chamber of Oviedo/Uviéu Cathedral and the Foncalada Fountain, all of them World Heritage Sites, as well as San Salvador de Valdediós, a monument in the process of being included on the list.
