The Centre

The public can visit the different stages of the Asturian pre-Romanesque art and the fifteen monuments forming this architecture via the interpretation panels and with the aid of the maps, chronograms and photographs in the Centre for Reception and Interpretation.

The Centre also has models of Santullano de Oviedo/Uviéu, San Salvador de Valdediós and Santa María de Naranco and an audiovisual presentation, handed over by the Archaeological Museum of Asturias, on the temples and constructions making up the Asturian pre-Romanesque. Furthermore, visitors will also find the information available in English, French and Braille.

The public may also enjoy a point for reference with monographic books on the monuments and Asturian pre-Romanesque art. Children also have a specific area where they can draw their own pictures of the Asturian monuments during their visit to the facilities.

In turn, there is an interactive presentation, in Spanish and in English, including interviews with the most prominent scientists studying the pre-Romanesque, together with the details of the architectural stages of this arte in these monuments.

Occasionally, the Centre for Reception and Interpretation will house special activities such as workshops and workshop visits.
